July 2020 (Summer Job Offer, cancelled due to Corona)

Liverpool School of English - Summer School Teacher and Activity Leader

(See July 2018 for further details)

I have been asked to come back for the third year in a row to repeat my work with the Liverpool School of English.

November 2019 - Present

Nativa Akademie, Berlin - Teacher

Teaching adults, one-on-one and in groups; intermediate-advanced.
Starting with cover work, but now teaching regular work as well, I teach adults from materials I have either prepared myself or taken from the school library.

The English is both conversational and functional - most of my students need it for both their personal and work lives, and so it encompasses a mix of general and business English.

September 2019 - Present

One-on-One Private Tuition - Teacher

Teaching adults one-on-one, both in person and using Skype.

I create personalised lessons that cater to my student’s needs, both for general and business English.

March 2019-Present

The English School, Brandenburg - English Teacher

Teaching children and adults English of all levels

I teach children and adults English tailored to their needs, working from materials prepared myself or provided by the school, including the Cambridge Fun for… series and the Helen Doron syllabus.

What English is taught depends on the students - the adults may want conversational English, or English relevant to their work, whilst the younger students may need lessons to supplement their school curriculum.
Small classes of up to six students.

Through The English School, I have also worked at the Kolumbus Grundschule, the Katholische Schule Salvatore and Europa Schul am Fließ, running after-school conversational English classes for a small group of 1st-5th Graders, preparing my own materials to suit their needs and learning styles.

In the Summer of 2019, I worked for a week at the ‘summer camp’ hosted by The English School; this involved full-day English activities for ten children aged 5-12, intended to complement their term-time studies in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. I was responsible for the planning and execution of all of the lessons I taught.
